Nana is a remarkable grandmother that refuses to fit the mold. She does all kinds of amazing things such as becoming a detective. Nana’s daughter keeps talking about a retirement home but none of that for Nana. “While the children had no idea what Nana was talking about, they knew that it was bound to be interesting, because with Nana there was no such thing as not interesting.”
My granddaughter, 9 year old Sarah, was spending the weekend with me and searching my bookshelves for something to read. She calls her other grandmother Nana, so this book quickly caught her eye. Personally, "Meme Cracks The Case" would have made an excellent title, since I am the Meme grandmother. Sarah quickly began to read this book. From the giggles and look on her face, I’d say it was a big hit.
Sarah: "Nana Cracks The Case is a very funny book. I really liked reading it. It reminded me of my Nana and Meme; both are fun to be with. The pictures in this book are black and white. I like this book a lot".
As you can tell by Sarah’s review this book was a big hit at our house. Kathleen Lane, Cabell Harris and Sarah Horne are extremely talented. This book gets 5 stars.
