My Return to the Future 2350 by John Schmidt is an interpretation of life after the prophesied Christian Biblical ‘Second Coming’. The author invites the reader to step into a vision and experience the future with him. Here is the new Kingdom (Earth before a ‘Third Coming’) where fear, conflict, evil and selfishness no longer exist. People are spiritually enlightened, largely self-governing, telepathic, and live in peace and harmony with each other and, importantly, all nature. Through meeting and being taken in as a guest by Traon, Sandreen, and their children Andrus and Magan, John describes his discoveries. Homes are self-repairing and communicate with owners, cars travel at high altitudes and beneath oceans, people work only a few hours a week and pursue their creative talents for the good of all. All land and natural resources are shared. The spiritual state of Heaven can be visited and experienced any time. What is important is personal development and a growing into a ‘fourth dimension’ – spiritual maturity.
Schmidt writes a brave and uplifting book. My Return to the Future 2350 may read like fiction, but it is also a book that suggests to readers how life might be in a world where negativity and fear no longer exist. The author has a clear, straight-forward style of writing and links the different sociological and economic aspects of the envisioned world to different Bible predictions. So this is a book that would interest those who think about Biblical prophecies, those who are curious about the future of humanity, and those who look for hope for our personal and spiritual development, and a better Earth that flourishes in keeping with its Creator’s intentions.
