In My P.E. Teacher is a Ninja (The Wonder Who Crew), Joey and Melanie Acker have written a fun book for young readers. It was most enlightening reading the book with my 8-year-old grandson and seeing the story come to light through his eyes. The drawings are such a delight and the story that gets told with each picture changes each time the book is read.
The drawings have been geared to activate a child's imagination in the most wonderful way possible with fun and laughter. The story is written in such a way that there are just enough words to encourage reading, especially for children who have learning difficulties. The pictures encourage them to make the story into one long adventure of their own.
Joey and Melanie Acker's book and drawings use the imagination of a child to their fullest extent and bring heartfelt giggles and ideas that have everyone laughing. The ending of My P.E. Teacher is a Ninja is delightful because a child with a vivid imagination can make the story end whichever way they want it to and how. I found that it was a privilege to step into this unique world of children and their stories and imaginations. Thank you.
