Nana knows just how to make her precious little girl feel ever so special in My Little Princess by JR Berry. Nana has been visiting and her granddaughter is sad to see her going home. She is very amazed when Nana, while hugging her goodbye, calls her princess. The little girl is surprised because she doesn’t think of herself as special - she doesn’t have all of the things that a princess should have and she certainly doesn’t have fancy clothes and castles that go along with the title. Over the next several weeks, Nana sends wonderful, unique gifts and the little girl waits anxiously for these to be delivered. The gifts are clothes and crowns, fancy storybooks, bubble bath and lots of other things that she thinks will make her granddaughter feel special and believe that she really is a princess.
My Little Princess is a delightful book for a grandmother and granddaughter to enjoy reading together many times. What a very brilliant way for Nana to have given her granddaughter confidence and joy. I am so looking forward to sharing this story with my own granddaughter as I know this is exactly the kind of story that will have her snuggled up in my lap. It will quickly become one of our favorite books to read at bedtime. My Little Princess is a surefire winner and I highly recommend it for all of us grandmas, nanas and meemaws who have their own special little princess to love. I look forward to sharing more from JR Berry with my “little princess”.
