My Eclectic Collection/Scattered Endz...From the Confines of My Mind Book 2 by Ronald Allen Bell is a collection of poems with various meanings and themes. The author describes it as a wild ride, and I couldn't agree more. We start with works like Of Beasts Become and Twisted Minds 3 (Molly's Mom), which opens with 'I have a secret, one of which I never speak,' and delves into a heart wrenching story about exactly what this secret is. All of the poems are full of rich descriptions and meaning, and some of them are dark and foreboding. Then there is a poem like The Dreamer, which discusses things like a flying jacuzzi or running down the street, naked, with a wizard's hat on. It breaks up the moments of deeply painful darkness with a more lighthearted and hopeful poem that is much simpler to read, yet still full of deep meaning.
The writing quality and choice of words are spot on in this entire work. Ronald has a knack for picking short phrases packed with meaning, and my favorite poem in the work is The Dreamer. The descriptions of impossible things happening with such vivid detail really bring the poem to life and give it a dream like quality that adds richness and depth. All in all, My Eclectic Collection/Scattered Endz...From the Confines of My Mind Book 2 by Ronald Allen Bell is an excellent work for the right audience and contains many well-written and brilliant poems.
