My Dinosaur is Going to Kindergarten by Hailee Oman and Gusty Awan is a heart-warming picture book for young children. If your child is starting kindergarten soon, then this book will be perfect for them. A young boy helps to prepare his dinosaur for kindergarten. His dinosaur is feeling nervous, but the boy fills him with reassurance. They go on a shopping adventure and buy the dinosaur a cool outfit and even a lunch box! When the day arrives, the little dinosaur’s nerves take over once again. Will he be able to overcome his fear and enjoy his first day at kindergarten? Find out in this book!
My Dinosaur is Going to Kindergarten was a joy to read. This is the boy's version of the book which I thought was a great idea, as it is tailored to both genders. The author has chosen to use rhyming to tell her story, and it was a brilliant choice as the writing flows nicely and adds even more enjoyment when reading. The story itself is beautiful and mimics the feelings parents feel as their little one starts school, which I found to be a nice touch. The illustrations are colorful and adorable; the dinosaur was my favorite. I recommend Hailee Oman and Gusty Awan’s book to anyone with children, whether they are starting school or not, because either way, they will be entertained. I can’t wait to read more of your wonderful work. Keep writing and stay creative!
