Murder Under A Bridal Moon by Abigail Keam is the tenth addition to the Mona Moon Mystery series. Despite the Great Depression plaguing the country, Mona Moon has something to be cheerful about with her upcoming wedding to the Duke of Brynelleth, Robert Farley, or so she thought. Her wedding preparations descend into chaos when one of her maids, Mabelle, is found strangled on the estate. Determined to find the killer, Mona starts following every clue that might lead her to the culprit. But the arrival of a plethora of unwanted guests to the wedding makes Mona's job all the more complicated. Chief among them are her obnoxious Aunt Melanie and her new South American lover, a particularly nosy and malicious reporter, and President Roosevelt's daughter herself. Can Mona catch the killer and save her wedding?
Abigail Keam incorporates a couple of real-life historical personalities who add to the charm of this delicious whodunit murder mystery you don't want to miss. The narrative drops the reader into the midst of the action from the get-go, and it's a non-stop thrill ride from there on with a plot full of unexpected twists and turns you never see coming. The characters are very much the driving force behind the narrative, with everyone having clearly defined motives and their own desires that make for a riveting story. Overall, I found Murder Under A Bridal Moon a thoroughly entertaining reading experience. Fans of whodunnit murder mysteries are in for a treat with this book.
