It’s not every day a friend is murdered right in front of you. Marisa Adair is shocked but quickly becomes drawn into the very convoluted mystery of which this death is only a small part. Murder Takes a Dare is the first Marisa Adair Mystery Adventure by Jada Ryker and it sets the tone for a fantastic series of murder mysteries involving a heroine who is flawed but determined to do the right thing. With help from a wide variety of friends and acquaintances – from hospital administrators to dancers in a strip club, members of her twelve step group and folks from a nursing home – Marisa discovers a complex plot involving money, greed and dysfunctional families. There are too many coincidences that bind the characters together so unraveling the connections takes plenty of patience and cooperation. With the threat of death never far away, Marisa and her friends manage to stay one step ahead of the murderer until their path leads them right to the final confrontation. Will they all manage to stay safe or will there be a sacrifice involved in finally catching the killer?
Jada Ryker weaves a complex mystery with the help of characters that are far from ordinary sleuths in the entertaining, fast-paced and exciting story, Murder Takes a Dare. Imaginative yet quite realistic, the first book in the Marisa Adair Mystery Adventure Series bares the souls of the characters while allowing them to function with their new-found strengths and determination. There is plenty of humor tucked in between the action, making this an enjoyable story with plenty of twists and turns of nail-biting adventure.
