Murder Leads to Marriage is a thriller by Shannon Peeples. Skylar Smith was forced by a man to make a phone call. After the call, she was a nervous wreck and was sure that somebody was following her. Skylar did not want to use her phone as she was afraid it was bugged and decided to talk to her sister, an attorney. After what happened to Melissa, Skylar knew firsthand how dangerous the man could be. However, Skylar was killed before she could contact her sister. Elsewhere, Daisy’s husband had died two years before in a car accident and she still blamed herself for the incident. Eight weeks prior, Daisy received a phone call from Skylar who told her that she understood what she had done that night and it was her fault that Daisy’s husband died. Skylar arranged a meeting with Daisy, but Daisy never showed up.
Murder Leads to Marriage by Shannon Peeples was compelling and exciting. The action never stopped. I was hooked from the start and just kept turning the pages. The events were descriptive and easy to visualize. It was fast-paced, and the chapters flowed into each other. I could never predict what would happen next, and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were authentic and relatable. They were introduced one by one with their individual backgrounds so it was easy to get to know them. There was a strong bond between Daisy and her sister that was believable. The story was so well-written that I immersed myself in the tale and couldn't believe it when it was over. It was much more than I expected.
