Mr. November by Matt Hogan combines sci-fi with time travel to deliver exciting entertainment for readers. Meet Sam Webb, a complex character who may appear to be just a drunk to the ordinary man, but who carries a heavy weight within his soul. Webb remembers things that never happened and things that no one knows about. His job is about to rip his life apart, driving him to the edge of insanity, thanks to an unscrupulous man on his journey to becoming the most powerful man in the world.

Pulled into a sinister game to control and alter history, Sam Webb is being used by his boss, Johnson Dravek, who has full access to one of the most revolutionary technological inventions; the machine beneath a nuclear plant in Waxahachie. Johnson Dravek, the CEO of AlphaGroup, uses Webb to make a killing on events that are already past because Webb is the only one who can use the machine, but the setback is the destruction of lives and the altering of history. But Webb is waking up, about to stand up against his boss’s selfishness and quest for power. Will he be able to use his boss’s own machine to destroy him and his ambitions?

This is a work of great imagination, a story that transports the reader into a powerful technological setting, with characters that face great psychological challenges. It is exciting navigating the mind of Sam Webb, the protagonist and a character that is wonderfully imagined and executed with great mastery. Matt Hogan is a great storyteller with an unusual gift for emotionally charged scenes, and I enjoyed the striking balance between the fast-paced plot and the colorful setting. Mr. November is a gripping story with sophisticated characters, featuring cutting edge technology, a story that is as entertaining as any can be.
