The way Mr. Invisible by Sawyer Ique begins, for a moment, I wondered what was happening. Then I remembered I was reading Mr. Invisible and that he was still hiding and I had to find him. Finally, he asks the reader to help make him appear, and that can only be done by turning the pages one by one. After turning the first page, his eyes appear and then after turning the next page, his mouth appears. He looks so happy in the illustrations, and he is glad that he is visible and is not afraid anymore. When you turn the next page, he has a bigger spark and can show himself off, which he loves. Finally, he knows that he does not have to be shy and hide.
Mr. Invisible by Sawyer Ique is an amusing and engaging story. It was very fast reading and before I knew it, the story was finished, but so much had happened in that time. The young reader has to read and turn every page for him to appear, so children will actively engage in the story. They experience him moving from being invisible to being seen. He was shy but is now sparkling and displaying himself. Mr. Invisible is a unique character and is humorous. Children can relate to him being shy, hiding, being funny, and clowning. It was a pleasure to read the story and the illustrations caught my eye and were interesting. Parents and children will enjoy reading Mr. Invisible and will remember the story.
