It's a busy world out there and it's just getting busier, especially for parents of young children. Where once it was expected that the mother would stay at home to raise the children while the father worked, now, with increasing demands on the family pocketbook, both parents are often working, usually away from the home and full-time. Children are shuffled off to daycare, family members and friends, and, after a long day at daycare and school, these same children are chauffeured around to one activity after another. It's non-stop go, go, go, from the time the family rises in the morning until it goes to bed at night. So when does the family really get to be a FAMILY? When do family members, especially mothers, find time to listen - really listen - to their children. Do they have time? Do they have the energy to listen?

In Mommy, Are YOU Listening???, author Patrice Lee has given all mothers and mothers-to-be a guide book to help them orchestrate the importance of being a mother. Yes, even the busiest of mothers can and should find time to listen. All they have to do is organize their time, organize their energies, "stop, breathe, and listen." Mothers need to constantly remind themselves that "every day a life is being shaped by a mother's love." It's an honor to be a mother, but it is also a responsibility, a life-long responsibility. True mothers never stop being a mother. True mothers are full of love and, yes, even when extremely busy, they orchestrate their time well enough to demonstrate their love for their children - not by buying more expensive gadgets or paying for more extra-curricular activities, but by taking the time to listen. It can be a frightening responsibility, but "perfect love leaves no room for fear." It is the perfect love that our Father in Heaven shared with us and we must pass this love onto our children.

Mommy, Are YOU Listening??? is a very reassuring and helpful guide to true motherhood. It contains lots of good, sound advice for mothers and mothers-to-be.

"Your time, your love, your sacrifice
From all those other things
A warm embrace, and loving smile,
Who knew the peace it would bring.

You can have every kind of technology,
And all the latest stuff,
But nothing can replace a mother's love,
Her smile, embrace, her touch."

Well done.
