Miss Nude Canada's Shoes (And Other Fiascos): Yukon is a work of non-fiction written in a playful memoir-style by author Jeff Pearson. Yukon is the second act in the series of humorous and anecdotal stories from the author, which look at some of his more bizarre and surreal experiences on his journey to adulthood. Here in this particular volume, we explore such tales as that of Jean-Claude: Faro Delivery Man, some dubious adventures with a new friend concerning the Gold Rush Inn, and other adventures set in and around the Yukon area of Canada. What results is a fun and charming comedy read where truth really is stranger than fiction.

Having read the first installment in this series of memoir stories by author Jeff Pearson some time ago, I was delighted to step back into ‘the shoes’ and go on yet more adventures with him. Readers who enjoy candid storytelling will find that Pearson leaves no stone unturned in order to paint the portrait of his adventures, engrossing readers with vivid depictions of persons and places. His dialogue is straight out of life, unfiltered in all its strangeness, yet the deftness of the narrative style means that the book is largely ‘clean’ and can be enjoyed by readers of all sensitivity levels. A particular favorite tale of mine was the Bonnie and Clyde-esque misadventures of Nan and her Tan Van at the Gold Rush Inn. Overall, Miss Nude Canada's Shoes (And Other Fiascos): Yukon is a superb read highly recommended for memoir and comedy fans everywhere.
