Making money through investments and the stock market can be daunting. Like most things, people manage their investment portfolio with too much emotion and too little excellent financial behavioral wisdom. People can learn from working with a financial advisor that they are comfortable with, but also from a literary resource. Mellow Your Money by Mick Heyman is a resource containing investment pearls of wisdom. Mick cautions everyone against panic behavior. He succinctly describes the forms of panic behavior in ways exemplified by former clients and the fear behavior in his own experiences. There are ways to develop wealth without so much fear. Mick will show you how to head back to the shore when the waves of financial life leave you with more stress than you need.
Mellow Your Money by Mick Heyman is a fantastic game-changer and a must-have investment resource. It was such a pleasure reading this book that I could not stop reading it. Mick’s words were honest about the hard lessons that he learned. The wisdom gleaned from the unexpected twists was funny and intriguing. Many of his investment anecdotes that paralleled experiences in real life made sense. It’s a brilliant read on the stock market trends, what to expect, and how people should and should not react. Mick includes a comprehensive list of movies and the lessons that each teaches. He stresses never losing focus in the long game because the market can be counterintuitive. The 100 points on the board story was a highlight for me.
