This fun romp continues in Marrying Mr. Darcy by Kate O’Keeffe. After having surprised the whole world over with her Mr. Darcy win off-screen, a.k.a. Sebastian Huntington-Ross, Emma Brady is head over heels in love with her fiancé and ready to start a new life as Lady Martinston. But becoming a lady is a whole new ball game, especially when it comes to aristocratic grannies who want nothing less than tradition and a good upbringing to keep the scales in balance. Emma is a far cry from the perfection that is a well-bred English lady. To marry her beloved Darcy, she must dive head-first into the Huntington-Ross world and learn what it means to be one of them. Will she survive and come out on top?
Marrying Mr. Darcy is a good laugh, but it also hints at those little Pride and Prejudice gems we’ve all come to know and love. Jane Austen’s novel will live on forever, so long as writers like Kate O’Keeffe keep her stories alive. With many variations out there, it is hard to choose. However, if you need some convincing, look no further than the Love Manor Romantic Comedy Series. I sound old when I say it takes me back to my youth, but there it is; I said it. Think of Emma Brady as Amanda Bynes from the movie What a Girl Wants. She’s independent, funny, and clumsy to a fault, and we love her for it. The same goes for Emma. Sometimes we think we need to fit in. When in reality, we’re born to stand out.
