Malice in Miami (A Jamie Quinn Mystery) by Barbara Venkataraman is an engaging and entertaining cozy mystery. Laced with the heroine's humorous insights, dumbfounding situations, and a smidgen of hairy incidents, the story takes you on a thrilling ride that goes from tickling your funny bone to nail-biting suspense. Jamie is a charming protagonist who is authentic, funny, and relatable. The way she perceives the world is not only amusing but profound. This novel is the sixth book in the series, and it does very well as a standalone. It is an addictive series, and once I read one, I had to read the whole series. Superbly written, it addresses an environmental issue that is not only thought-provoking but frightening as well. Fans of Erin Brockovich's dramatic story and everyone else who enjoys mysteries where industrial giants are confronted will not want to miss this!
