Enter the town of Covington,a small town and home of many frogs and their families. As we meet Bastion, who is Chief watcher over the pond, little does he know what his former life was. All he has ever known is his life as a frog, but, it’s strange; he has never hopped or jumped like a frog. He has always stood up and walked like a man. When he catches something sparkly out of the corner of his eye,the first thing that comes to his mind is food, but he was surprised to find a little imp floating on a lily pad. When eventually, Larien, the imp tells Bastion a tale that sounds so unbelievable he finally realizes that there is a traitor in their town and the community is in danger. He is off to do battle with the mighty wizard, the traitor and the wizard’s guards, which just happens to be snakes. Will Bastion and Larien be able to defeat the wizard and bring security back to the town of Covington? Will the town be changed back from the Wizards spell or will they forever stay the same?
"Magic of the Frogs" is a Fantasy Adventure geared toward the ages of 8-12. It is a very enjoyable short story and I feel this book will be enjoyed by many of the younger generation.
