I liked the lovely hint at the potential love affair between Maggie and Alex in the form of a flower sent by the latter that didn't wither. I appreciated that this is a family-centered story. The relationship between the sisters is moving and heartwarming. I liked the many twists and turns in the narrative that caught me by surprise. I believe that this novel will inspire readers to pursue their goals despite difficult circumstances and recommend it to fans of romance and family dramas.

Maggie and Alex immediately feel attracted to each other, but Maggie is not yet ready for a relationship so soon after her husband's death.

The characters were well-developed and there was a bond between them that one does not readily encounter. They were relatable and could be any of my friends. I loved all the twists, especially at the end.
