But the answers could possibly pose a life-shattering revelation for Lumen.

Wozniak's Lumen and the Lost Luxem delivers an enjoyable story of a teenager who, despite all his insecurities and anxieties, slowly starts understanding the elemental power that he really has. He is on a path to use his powers for good, and with his knack for solving puzzles, he greatly contributes to solving the problems at hand. The pace of this story is good, sometimes slower and sometimes faster, and the characters that appear in it have enough depth and credibility. This is a story of personal growth and change amidst the typical challenging issues of teenhood, but with magical elements and settings that make it fun to read. This is an enjoyable and wholesome read.

I particularly enjoyed the development of different characters, especially Lumen’s schoolfellows, and even the villains in this piece have interesting and relatable motivations rather than just being cardboard cut out or stereotypical figures. Overall, this makes Lumen and the Lost Luxem a very engaging fantasy novel, one which is sure to delight fans of the existing series, but also new readers who want to delve into a lavish and exciting new world.
