Nicholas Sparks does not know how to write a bad book. Our hero in The Lucky One is U.S. Marine Logan Thibault. While serving in Iraq he finds a photograph of a woman with a dog. He feels a strange draw to the woman, as if she is a good lucky charm. After three tours in Iraq he begins the search for the woman in the photo, E.

After a series of mishaps he locates Elizabeth Greene. He and Elizabeth begin to date. He was already in love with the photo but soon finds himself in love with the real woman.

This is Nicholas Sparks’ 14th book. The Lucky One is a romance you will long remember. There is just the right amount of suspense mixed with romance to keep the reader turning pages. This story slowly builds to a climatic finish. Sparks did it again…he stirred my heart.

You can bet if Nicholas Sparks puts a book out there, it is going to sell. This scenario is due to his expertise as a storyteller extraordinaire. His latest work, The Lucky One will be touted by readers as one of his best works. Having written books like Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, readers know what they can expect when they buy a Nicholas Sparks book...great characters, great storyline and an electricity that stays with you long after you have finished reading the story.

Sparks main character in The Lucky One is ex-marine, Logan Thibault. Logan has served three tours of duty in Iraq and believes his survival is due to a lucky picture he found of an unknown woman. Once he completes his tour of duty, he walks from Colorado to Hampton, North Carolina in search of the woman in the picture.

Once he arrives in North Carolina, he takes a job at a dog training facility where he meets Nana, the elderly owner of the facility, Elizabeth, her granddaughter and her young son, Ben. Elizabeth, he discovers is the woman in his lucky picture.

The storyline stays true and builds to an exciting climax. There are stories within this story that adds story interest. Sparks knows how to build a story and keep a reader anxiously turning pages.

If you are a Nicholas Sparks fan, you won't be disappointed with this work. If you have never read Nicholas Sparks, this work is a great starting point.

Nicholas Sparks is the author of fourteen best selling works of fiction. Several if his works have been adapted to movies. Sparks and his family lie in the Carolinas.

Here in New Zealand we were lucky to have this book released on th 26th of Septemeber before the States release date. Another perfect book from Nicholas Sparks and is exactly what you come to expect from him. It truly is amazing how he is able to in each of his books capture the audience the way he does and this book is definatley no exception. You are drawn in with this story and makes you really think if there is such a thing as fate, luck, destiny and true love. I highly recommend this to any fan of Sparks and to anyone who wishes to become a fan. You will not be disapointed.

I gave this book to my father-in-law. He is 94. He told me HE COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!!!!! He stayed up all night to finish it! He told me it is wonderful and that Nicholas Sparks has done it again.... written with compassion and hope. I can't wait to get me hands on it!

Sparks delivers again with another great story with another set of great characters, who's stories all get intertwined and weaved together somehow yet again. I have to admit Sparks has a way of really getting you emotionally involved in his stories, and it's hard to put the book down until you've read cover to cover.

I don't wanna give anything away, but I have to say I was really impressed how Sparks developed and told his story this time making me care for the characters very early one, and I was actually almost shocked to see a "villain" this time around as well. I will admit a few characters and events seemed a little forced here and there, but I find that in a lot of his stories, so it just kinda goes with the territory. Regardless, I was sucked into the story and I enjoyed til the bitter end.

I do have to say this book really makes you think of things such as fate and destiny and whether or not they exist for people. I personally think they do and this story helps solidify that. I also have to say I actually expected a different ending than what we got...the ending I was expecting would of worked and satisfied me, but the one Sparks delivered gave me a little surprise and also satisfied. So it was a win-win.

Sparks fly in this wonderfully romantic novel that makes a reader think that anything is possible, that fate or destiny may have other plans for each of us, and that if we follow our hearts we may just end up being The Lucky One.

Nicholas Sparks creates a deeply emotional story of a battle-worn marine who holds most dear a photograph of an unknown woman. Throughout tours of duty, he clings to the belief that the photo is responsible for keeping him safe, and he later sets out to find the woman in the photograph.

The Lucky One makes you believe in true love and fate. In some ways, I am reminded of how I felt in my early 20s when I read dozens of Danielle Steele novels. For me, she was the queen of romance. In this case, I'd say Sparks is the king of romance. He certainly creates intriguing characters and seemingly impossible odds.

If you enjoyed The Notebook and Message in a Bottle, you'll love The Lucky One! No other male author does romance quite like Nicholas Sparks!

The Lucky One is another great love story by Nicholas Sparks. In this book, Sparks creates a love triangle between Beth, the single mom, Logan, the Iraqi war vet, and Clayton, the ex-husband to Beth.

Clayton is a horrible man and father, and when he thinks Beth might become involved with Logan, he threatens to destroy them. The ending is quite suspensful and satisfying. I do think too much of the middle is associated with Logan and Beth falling in love. At times it became quite tedious.

Overall, this is one of Sparks' best books and I recommend to anyone.

I'm a huge Nicholas Sparks fan and the storyline was great...until the last chapter. It gets to a predictable turning point and abruptly ends, with a 3 page epilogue to fill you in. But be sure to reread the last few pages because you can miss details. Again, still a great story, just not to happy with the ending.

This was the first time I have ever bought anything off of Amazon.com and it was the best experience I could have had! I even put in the wrong billing address and was able to contact the seller to have them help! Also, the product did not even look used at all! I bought "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks and it looks like I bought it off the self at a Barns and Noble! Thank you so much!

I just finished "The Lucky One" on CD. What a treat! There were so many times we were waiting for "T-bow", tell her..... many times you wanted to yank that guy, to wake him up, she's for you!!!!! We were rooting all the way for "T-bow" Clayton- we would have put him out of his misery long before Chapter 12. It was the best story I've heard in a long time. Mr. Sparks covered all the bases and then some. I "talked back" to the guy reading several times with warnings about bothering the main guy. I just kept hoping for a great ending. I'm the one who sneak-peeks the ending if I get antsy about what's going on. On the road I could not cheat. I had to hang on and hope for the best....I was not disappointed. I enjoyed every minute of the story.

True to Nicholas Spark's other books, this one is awesome and I have purchased it for others, as well as lending mine to others. He keeps one guessing the ending to the end. Excellent!!!
