Love Odyssey is the second installment of the Transylvanian Trilogy by Roberta Seret. It's the year 1970. Political activist Anca Rodescu escapes persecution under the Communist regime of Romania under President Nicolae Ceausescu and flees to America with her unborn child. Nineteen years later, she is a resident doctor in New York City with a daughter named Sandra, eager to study law at Yale University. Meanwhile, her former husband and Sandra's father, Petre, is still in Bucharest as Ceausescu's personal doctor. Unbeknownst to Ceausescu, Petre is part of an underground revolutionary group that seeks to depose him and form a democratic government in Romania. Meanwhile, members of the Securitate, Romania's secret police, continue to threaten Anca and Sandra in the US. As the revolution comes closer to fruition, will Anca and Petre ever reunite?
A gripping tale of love and sacrifice against the backdrop of the Romanian Revolution, Love Odyssey keeps you hooked from start to finish.
