Author Biography

I am a YA and women's fiction author. I love writing because I get to capture emotions people feel in everyday life and play with my readers' emotions! ;) I write characters people can relate to, and I almost always end a book with a cliffhanger to keep my readers coming back. Plus, life is always better with a little suspense! ;) My books are mostly about relationships and everyday life, with some extra plot twists thrown in for fun! My characters reappear from one novel to the next, and even when they're not main characters in the current book, you can still get updates on their lives. I travel whenever I can, I love animals and helping animal organizations, and I am slightly obsessed w/ men's pro tennis, the shows Nashville, Game of Thrones, and Friends, the Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight movie trilogy, the 1920s, New York City, Dubrovnik, Croatia, song lyrics, and many many books! :)

Loves Means Zero by Daisy Jordan is the story of Hilton Joliet. She is living with her boyfriend (her best friend and her fiancé) in a nice apartment, with a nice job, and has a nice life. In short, her life is missing that thrill or spark that comes with doing something adventurous or even something that is normally fun. When Hilton and her best friend Jill go on a vacation to Europe, she believes she will finally find some perspective and some much needed me-time. However, her life will change. For good or bad? That depends on how you perceive it.

During her visit to Italy, she attends a tennis match. Tennis has always been her passion and, as she is a photographer, she takes her camera everywhere. To the surprise of everyone, Hilton takes a controversial picture of a tennis star as he cheats on his actress girlfriend. This is when she gets the job as a freelance photographer at Game Set Match. Now she is all set to travel the world and do both the things she loves best. But this has given her an opportunity to do other things that have an influence on her life. The new job has its perks, but it also has its down side. Can her relationship survive? Or will she get something even better?

Love Means Zero may seem like the usual boy-meets-girl-girl-meets-boy novel, but it is so much more than that. Jordan has written the novel with passion and you can feel it. The characters are beautifully written and portrayed with just the right words. Hilton is so much fun and Jill is very quirky. I really love it when writers can make their characters seem real and feel real. A good piece of fiction that will be the perfect book to read on a lazy day. A huge thumbs up!
