Actor Jonny Duponi moves from the West Coast back home to the East Coast after living among the fast paced lives of movie stars and film-makers. Heart-throb Jonny is used to getting who and what he wants...that is, until he meets Cassie.
Cassie pretty much has a mind of her own, and in no way is she interested in Jonny’s playboy lifestyle. In fact, she has her mind set on the opposite: picket fences and playing taxi as a mom running her future children around.
As the blissful romance begins, Cassie is careful to set the rules which Jonny respects, but he still uses his flirtatious charm to win her heart. He even surprises readers doing a double-take with his lifestyle when he falls for Cassie, and even though she tries to play hard to get, acting like she’s not attracted to Jonny, she wouldn’t dare let him know her real feelings.
I enjoyed this well-written, sweet and charming romance. The characters, events and locations created by the author are red carpet high-society with everything you would expect from the Hollywood world of fame. Ms. Perry beautifully writes this wonderful love story with enough affection and emotion to keep you wondering what is happening next. It is a pretty fast read; I read it in a few hours. If you want a light romantic book to read, then Love Doesn’t Play by the Rules is one you will enjoy.
