Listening to the Voices of Our Ancestors: A Practical Manual for Developing Your Intuitive Genealogical Abilities by Megan Reilly Koepsell takes the reader on a journey of discovery. Genealogy is generally something approached in a manner that chalks similar experiences in a family up to pure coincidence. Megan Reilly Koepsell challenges that notion and shows the reader that you can spiritually connect with your ancestors. You will learn about her own experiences in this arena and the stories of others worldwide.
Genealogy is something I have long been interested in. I am also a believer in being connected to the greater world, and our pasts. So, I couldn’t wait to dig into this book when I was given the chance. I was not disappointed once I got into it. Megan Reilly Koepsell openly shares not only her story, but methods to help others on their genealogical journey. She makes sure you know that no matter how much experience you have in genealogy, you should start to listen to and trust your natural instincts.
By reading her story and the stories of others that she shares, I personally feel like it will be so much easier for me to connect in my own family search. I am excited to take what I got from this book and apply it as I put my ancestors in order for the story of my family. Most of all I feel empowered to dig further into the German side of my family, the side whose story has never really been told. So, I want to give a hearty thank you to Megan Reilly Koepsell for this knowledge and empowerment. Listening to the Voices of Our Ancestors: A Practical Manual for Developing Your Intuitive Genealogical Abilities is truly a great read. It flows well and gives you so much knowledge. I recommend that anyone who is even just a little bit interested in their family history should read this book as soon as they can.
