Life Poetry by C.M. Krishack is an inspirational poetry book that takes readers on a emotional journey of discovery in which the author expresses herself through the art of poetry. Each poetic expression strikes an emotional response. The gift of poetry is present and felt with each poem. The author's style makes the reading easy and distinctive. I was quite fond of this particular poem because it expresses so many layers of emotions.
A BETTER TOMORROW
Drifting on a sea of despondency
Drowning in the depths of tears
Plunging into a trench of hopelessness
Crashing to the bottom of a bottle
Waking to a new beginning
Climbing out of the darkness of despair
Stretching to the heavens with faith
Hoping for a better tomorrow
There are many poems throughout the book that touch on many topics. One of the things that makes a good poetry book is when the poet connects with readers. Many of the writings, even though written from a personal place, spoke to me as well. I found myself reminiscing on past experiences. The poems in this book brought me the experience and allowed me to see through a different lens. Poets are often overlooked, but they carry the answers to a lot of life's questions, wrapped up in a poetic expression that speaks the sentiments of the heart. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves poetry and to those who love inspirational writings. The poems in this book stay with you long after being read.
