Life Lived Not Lost: A Journey of Hope is a work of non fiction penned by author Cynthia Staton, and falls into the Christian memoir genre. Focusing on the author’s personal life in great detail, this autobiographical message of hope follows Cynthia as she seeks purpose in her life, sometimes through other people and sometimes through the Bible. The largest event in the tale comes from the loss of her daughter Victoria, when Victoria was aged only 16, and the author takes us through her process of grief, but also her faith in God’s plan and how she came out on the other side of such a terrible period of darkness.
For anyone who has ever had to let someone go so unexpectedly, so much before their time, the work and love that author Cynthia Staton has put into this book will really enable them to see how life goes on and how you can find strength and hope even after such disasters. Cynthia is a strong woman who struggles with many relatable issues during the tale that others will be able to relate to, but it is her approach to the concepts of life and death which make this memoir truly gripping and uplifting in terms of its quality. The way she celebrates Victoria’s life and the other lessons learned from her daughter’s death produce truly warm feelings that offer a message to all. Overall, Life Lived Not Lost is a highly recommended and emotively written memoir for all to explore.
