Life in the Morgue by Lance Anderson is the story of Greg who wanted a change from his job as a laborer with a demolition company. He came across a website listing open state jobs and he applied for the post of a morgue technician even though he did not have any medical experience or working with the dead. He was sure he would get a rejection letter and he was surprised when they called him again for a second interview. The book speaks about the people working at the morgue and their stories and experiences, each interesting and intriguing in its own way.
The author's experience of working in a medical examiner's office and as a paranormal investigator gives credibility to the topic and the stories discussed help readers connect with his words easily. The stories are honest and some of them will leave readers surprised and intrigued. The book gives a peek into the lives of the people working in the morgue and Greg's experiences while working there will keep readers glued to the pages until the very end. The story is exciting and will make readers curious when it comes to learning about the lives of those working in a morgue and the normal/paranormal situations they encounter. The characters and the stories are memorable. The choice of topic for this book is quite fascinating and different. The narration is detailed and the author manages to keep the curiosity levels of readers on a high until the very end. The style of writing is fluid and the author keeps the pace and momentum going in a story that deals with the dead.
