This audio book is an autobiography of Keith Richards, the main guitarist for the Rock and Roll group, The Rolling Stones.

Richards tells about his life as a child in Post WWII England, and how he met Mick Jagger. He tells of the hard times they had getting the group formed, and what music influenced their style of music.

This story rings of the cliche..."drugs, sex, and rock & roll" That is what the majority of his life was like during the time that the Rolling Stones were making their best known hits!

It is interesting to see Richards' take on how the drugs helped him and Jagger write and develop their music; how the drugs affected their lives, their children's lives, their family life; and what finally turned their lives around.

Richards' story is read by several different people, and this variety makes it kind of interesting, but I thought it would have been better if he had read all of it himself! I think it would have been cool, too, if they had played some of the music when they were talking about specific songs...if only a clip of it!

I have always loved the Rolling Stones and their songs; so the audio book was interesting...especially the part where he finally kicks his drug habit for good, and how it affected his life for the better!
