Dr. Erin Jacobs, a physical therapist, is making a name for herself in the sports world. Drawing on her own life experiences, she encourages and inspires athletes to recover from career ending injuries. So why would someone want to hurt the good doctor? Detective Logan Sinclair is determined to find that answer. He’s been mesmerized by Erin from the moment she found him and his partner shot in an alleyway. Since that night, their lives have never been the same.
Erin finds herself in danger after it is established that she was the prime witness in the shooting. She also finds herself in grave danger of falling in love with the very attractive, manly detective. Erin was married to a cop who was killed on duty. Besides the fact that her husband’s death has impacted badly on her spirituality, she’d also vowed never to become involved with a cop again. But somehow Logan’s appealing charm is eroding all her good intentions.
Erin’s troubled and deprived childhood has led her to become involved with a youth center and a homeless shelter. Logan, determined to win her, helps out, and also uses this involvement to keep an eye on Erin. Bad things start happening: Erin is the almost-victim of an attempted kidnapping; the youth center is robbed; and one of her friends gets hurt. Who wants Erin out of the way? Will Logan be able to solve the puzzle before it`s too late ? And if so, what impact will those answers have on their lives?
