The Liege of Faynwood cannot forget the final battle inside the Valerran Museum, where Linden, Jayna, and their friends barely escaped with their lives. Despite being recently injured, Linden is determined to lead the Valerran mission. She knows what is at stake and is eager to claim a victory. She also has another reason; there is resistance deep within Valerra, and a certain leader bears a striking resemblance to the brother she has been looking for. Linden has a lot on her plate and a certain Arrowood Chief with sea-green eyes isn’t making it easy for her. Torn between duty and her heart, Linden will have to make difficult decisions in the future. The question is, will she make the right ones? Find out in the third book of The Serving Magic Series: Lady Liege by Toni Cabell!
Toni Cabell takes us on another extraordinary ride with Lady Liege. Linden had been injured by their last battle but she grows more impatient to take the battle to Mordahn. Serving magic had been defeated and it had haunted her for the past nine months. She is determined to see the end of the prophecy through but fighting Mordahn isn’t the only thing plaguing her thoughts. Linden is an admirable character; she is brave and stubborn to a fault but she has the best intentions and she only wants to protect those who are important to her, even if it means shouldering a heavy title and duties she never wanted in the first place. I enjoyed the story’s flow of events and I found the story to be well-paced and easy to follow. The plot is skillfully crafted, and the setting and events are described clearly. This book had me hooked from Linden’s first demands to return to duty and right to the very end. Linden, Corbahn, and their friends are the foundation of the story. Their amazing characterizations and interactions made it easy to envision how the entire book played out as I read. Wonderful work!
