In a lovely story targeted towards young adults, Kingdom by the Sea: A Royal Romance by author Anna del C. Dye is a book that readers will have a hard time putting down once they have started reading it. Follow this story of love and betrayal. When Princess Serena requests that her ship captain love enslave an entire island nation, he does so with a heavy heart. He wants to please the princess, but is not so certain of his mission. And when he takes solace in a relationship with a beautiful slave, Princess Serena is both devastated and enraged by his betrayal. The lives of all slaves are now in jeopardy. The princess is ready to force the captain to make good on his promises to her, but with the help of a stable hand, who truly loves the princess, her heart may change.
I very much enjoyed Kingdom by the Sea: A Royal Romance. Author Anna del C. Dye has done a great job in creating characters that her readers will be able to connect with and which will intrigue them. If that isn't a hallmark of a great author, I'm not sure what is. The story takes place in beautiful settings, and the author's descriptive story telling will make readers feel as if they are actually in the princess's land. Any young adult reader who loves a story with a great romantic story line should definitely give this book a chance. I'm pleased to be able to recommend it, and hope to see more from author Anna del C. Dye in the future!
