TIFFANY GRANTHAM enjoys creating books that motivate, teach and uplift. She wrote her first book at the age of 13 for her new baby sister at the time. Experiencing the joy and excitement it brought her sister hearing the story and seeing the illustrations, she aspired to become a published author.
Tiffany believes books are the perfect medium to expose young readers to fresh concepts, ideas, cultures and languages they wouldn't ordinarily encounter. Kaycie, the series, was birthed from this belief.

We all have special, unique talents. Some people can dance or sing or even do great karate moves. But Kaycie has her own special, unique talent: her talent is that she’s smart and she aspires to use her brains to do wonderful things. The only problem is, her classmates don’t believe being smart is a talent and when each student is asked to display their talents, Kaycie starts to feel self-conscious as others show off dancing, singing and so much more. When her friends laugh at her, it only makes things worse. Kaycie needs to be brave and stand up for what she believes in, to stand up for who she is and be proud of being uniquely herself. That’s something we all have to do.
Tiffany Grantham’s picture book story, Kaycie Discovers Her Talent, is a sweet story that will inspire young readers, particularly young girls, to embrace their unique talents, even if they’re not show-off talents like being a great dancer or a great singer. Who we are, what we’re good at doing, that’s our own special talent. The author leads young readers through Kaycie’s struggle to find and embrace her unique talent: being smart. Before Kaycie can present her talent to the class, Kaycie has to learn to believe in herself and be proud of who she is. After all, being smart really is super cool. Told in simple language so young readers can follow along and accompanied by bright, bold, colorful illustrations, this is a powerful and entertaining story to inspire all talented young people. Beautifully told and presented.
