A. H. Richardson was born in London England and is the daughter of famous pianist and composer Clive Richardson. She studied drama and acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She was an actress, a musician, a painter and sculptor, and now an Author.
She published her debut novel Jorie and the Magic Stones in December 2014. At the request of those who loved the first ‘Jorie’ story, Richardson has written a sequel titled Jorie and the Gold Key, and she is currently working on the third book in the series.
She is also the author of Murder in Little Shendon, a thriller murder mystery which takes place in a quaint little village in England after World War Two, and introduces two sleuths, Sir Victor Hazlitt and his sidekick, Beresford Brandon, a noted Shakespearian actor. She has more ‘who-dun-its’ planned for this clever and interesting duo… watch for them!
A. H. Richardson lives happily in East Tennessee, her adopted state, and has three sons, three grandchildren, and two pugs. She speaks four languages and loves to do voiceovers. She plans on writing many more books and hopes to delight her readers further with her British twist, which all her books have.

Jorie and the Gold Key by A.H. Richardson is the sequel to Jorie and the Magic Stones; the book would appeal most to children and young adults that enjoy fantasy books and who have read and enjoyed Jorie and the Magic Stones. The setting of this book is the summer after the events of Jorie and the Magic Stones. Jorie and Rufus are two children who have been planning a summer filled of adventure, only to have their hopes dashed when they are stuck with a bossy ten-year-old called Nigel. However, adventure quickly finds the three children as a wizard presents them with a quest to retrieve the magic stones that have been spirited away. During the quest, the children face off against the evil Lord Fodomalk and his butterfly.
Jorie and the Gold Key by A.H. Richardson is a well-written children’s science fiction/fantasy adventure that is the second in the Jorie series. However, it can be read as a standalone as the only aspect the reader would miss is past adventures and a bit of insight into the characters. The book dropped me straight into a mystical world alongside Jorie, Rufus, and Nigel; I personally found Nigel to be my favorite character because I felt like I could understand his awe, confusion, and fright. Nigel was a great addition to the book because it allowed the book to reveal aspects of Jorie and the Magic Stones to the reader without breaking from the plot. Overall, I enjoyed reading the book and I wish that I had read it when I was a child as it would have definitely been my favorite book!
