In Jordan’s Crossing we meet Jordan a missionary from Georgia. When offered the position as missionary in Germany the double pay entices him more than the calling. He accepts the position in Germany for the pay increase not for an opportunity to introduce others to the Lord. His wife Susan and their two children, Chase (17) and Donica (13) are not comfortable with the move to Germany. After the murder of his son Chase, Jordan becomes obsessed with justice. Deep inside he blames himself for Chase’s brutal and savage murder. Jordan has never truly submitted his life to God, instead he depends and trusts himself.
Jordan’s Crossing has an amazing and powerful plot. The plot is deep and will leave the reader pondering long after reading the last word. The plot is character driven. Jordan’s character is very human. It was easy to understand and feel his pain while at the same time wanting him to grow in his walk with God. Jordan’s Crossing kept me on the edge of my seat, eagerly turning the pages. The cover is eye catching with the silhouette of a man looking at a sunset, the sun’s brilliance glowing on the water. There are instances in our lives that are shadowed and often dark but the light of the Lord will illuminate your steps. This is a Christian biblical based book. There is a strong Christian message within the pages. I recommend reading this series in order so that the reader can watch as Jordan’s behavior and manner change.
