Beautifully illustrated and loaded with facts and statistics, Investment Atlas II: Using History as a Financial Tool by Kenneth G. Winans is a compelling road map to profitable investment, one of the books, if not the very first book, anyone who wants to invest should read. Here is a book that teaches readers to use one invaluable, oft neglected tool to determine when, where, and how to invest. The author bases his argument on the fact that history repeats itself and offers indicators that will help readers identify patterns in financial markets to make informed and intelligent decisions when it comes to investing.
Kenneth G. Winans writes with the confidence of someone who has practiced these principles himself, and his arguments are illustrated with startling examples and historical references that readers can verify themselves. In this book, readers will understand the importance of long term investment analysis and how to perform it. The author notes that “Modern investors have a wide assortment of products that allow them to tax-effectively invest in stocks, real estate, bonds, commodities, collectibles, and cash-equivalent investments.” But with the amount of information, reports, financial analysis, and forecasts being provided daily by investment gurus and financial professionals, readers can be left confused, unsure of which path to take.
Investment Atlas II: Using History as a Financial Tool comes alongside readers as a tool to help them use history to make investment decisions that will bring them long term profit. This book reads like nothing I have read before and one feels the confidence in the writing, which must result from the author’s experience and expertise and his wide range of research into the way the markets behave throughout history.
