I love non fiction books that have exercises because I feel like that makes me a part of the experience. Instead of just reading Instant Anger Management: How to Control Anger Instantly! by The INSTANT Series, I am now involved in the process and actually learning how to apply these principles in my life. I think having these activities was a very smart decision and a welcome addition to this text. Not only does it include the reader, but it also breaks up large sections of the text and keeps the reader interested and engaged. Nice job!

I also liked the step by step instructions on how to overcome anger, how to manage anger, how to defuse yourself from an angry situation, and so on. Too many non fiction books talk about what they are going to tell you without ever getting to the point and telling you how to fix a problem. They generalize and are really not worth your time. But Instant Anger Management: How to Control Anger Instantly! gives you very specific, step by step instructions that you can use in a variety of situations. There are steps to get out of an angry situation, steps to avoid situations that can lead to angry meltdowns, steps to take to relax and meditate, and steps to take to realize what is the root cause of your anger. I feel like these specific steps are the meat of this book and the real key to this book's success because it can actually teach people how to change their lives. Nice job!

As soon as I started reading this book It spoke to me in a way that's pretty hard to describe. I have severe anxiety and of course anger problems so I've been looking around for different books and things to try and deal with it. The first section in this book that really caught me was the part where it asks, "What's your immediate reaction?" and then it gives three examples of situations which might make someone angry. It literally showed me how bad my anger really is and why I need to deal with it in order to be happier.

The teaching style of this book is really spot-on and it gives strong insight on the root of the issues that you have so that you can better focus on changing them for the better. Instead of the book focusing only on fixing the anger it makes your confront it as well, which is something about it that I find unique. I found myself getting really mad while I was reading it but then it takes it from negative to positive and explains how to apply the "anger management solution." I loved the part of about self-awareness, it made me really think about my feelings for others and how to deal with them in a better, more positive manner.

So all in all I found this to be a great book and coping mechanism for my anxiety and anger issues. For me it helped me find the root of my anger and then how to break the cycle. I have been trying the techniques found in the book and they have really been helping me a lot. I notice that I can control my anger much more effectively and calmly without having big outbursts like I usually would. I would recommend you check this out if you have these types of issues.

At some point during the course of any ordinary day, while you are out driving around or you are at work or whatever you are doing, at some point you get angry. Something stirs you the wrong way and grinds your gears. You hate feeling this way but you don't know how to control it, maintain it and you really don't know why you are such an angry person. So where do you turn for helpful advice? "The Instant Anger Management: How to Control Anger Instantly" book in the "Instant Series." In this book, you will learn not only where your anger might come from, but also why you should deal with it, how to turn a negative into a positive as well as staying anger-free in the long term.

The methodology in this book is wonderful and the benefits that this book has to offer are hard to ignore.

If you or somebody you know has trouble coping with their anger, I highly recommend this book. Its language is simple and down-to-earth; you won't feel like you're reading some scientific book, but more like you were talking to a friend.

Anger. It's a powerful emotion we have all experienced at some point in our lives. Anger can manifest itself in different ways, most of which are small outbursts that are usually over as soon as they happen. Yet for some, controlling their anger is a serious issue that can have dire consequences. The editors at The Instant Series have put together a great guide for learning how to control serious anger issues.

The book's first two chapters deal with questions that must be asked before one can begin dealing with anger: why deal with it in the first place? And what is the root cause of your anger? The next two chapters deal with how to handle anger in the short term: for instance, if you find yourself in a situation at work that causes you to lose your cool, how can you reverse course and keep your anger in check? The fifth chapter offers a number of helpful strategies for practicing anger management, and the final two discuss how to control your anger in the long run and stay anger-free.

Like any good self-help book, this volume offers a number of helpful tricks for practicing anger management. Each chapter is chocked full of tricks and tips, all of which are grounded in sound psychological theory. For instance, keeping a journal is suggested, and this is a technique many psychologists recommend. This book is clearly designed to be practical and helpful, and wastes no time in superfluous explanations and ideas. Instead, it cuts to the chase, examining the issues that cause anger and how to control it in both the short and long-term. My only issue with this book were some minor copy-editing issues.

It is extremely important in our world to control anger and channel it into positive avenues. Instant Anger Management is a great teaching tool for how to deal with serious anger issues.

The author offers an explanation of the psychological roots that may cause someone to suffer from anger issues, environmental and otherwise. Perhaps I shouldn’t refer to a person with anger issues as someone who “suffers,” as though he or she were a victim, since this book makes a key point: anger is a choice.

For a reader who chooses to abandon anger using this book as a tool, each chapter ends with a set of practical exercises that promote inner exploration (to get at the roots of the anger) as well as external action (ranging from journaling, the use of positive affirmations, and adoption of coping mechanisms such as keeping oneself busy).

Those who have explored the world of self-improvement books in the past may recognize a few of the tools and techniques offered here, but what is new and different is not only the precise combination focusing on the topic of anger, but also the level of specificity and clarity with which these are presented.

This book is written in an accessible, conversational style—a quality I find particularly helpful on the Kindle platform. The author’s arguments are often arranged in an easily digestible bullet-point format. As an added bonus, the book is fairly short—giving the reader more time to begin the exercises and implement the program.

Overall, I was pleased with this purchase and expect to be able to add many of the techniques and insights found within to my daily repertoire. And, ironically enough, if you decide you don’t like the book, at least the book itself will help you keep your cool—a perfect instance of one-stop-shopping!

I originally purchased this book in hopes that it would give me a better understanding of my sister and her anger issues. This book did that and much more. I realized when reading this book that I may have some issues myself and thanks to the author I now have an understanding of how to deal with this anger. The book is really well written in a straight forward no nonsense kinda way. The book gives fantastic advice to the reader and provides exercises for the reader to do along the way.

Some people will describe anger as a source of energy. Many managers encourage conflicts between their employees because they fill the anger will force them to work harder and do more even if the sole purpose is to outdo someone else. But, even though it may be "best for business," anger is not good for anyone. Especially when anger caused by work related issues spill over into everyday life. It can cause isolation, depression, and even physical ailments. Anger is harmful to us and those around us.

I know I have anger issues. Especially when I am driving. I turn into a whole different person behind the wheel. I shout, I scream, I rage at people who cut me off. I wind up getting a migraine and end up in a dark room, curled up into a little ball waiting for the pain to subside. It's no fun at all.

"Instant Anger Management" is filled with all kind of useful information about anger and how it can affect us mentally and physically. There are scores of tips and exercises to help you avoid angry reactions and deal with things in a reasonable manner. In no way does this book condone being a wallflower and allowing people to walk all over you. What it does offer is a way to become accepted by your family and acquaintances and become a better, more influential, and successful person. I highly recommend it!
