Have you ever wondered about who lives in a specific building and what lives those tenants lead? I have often asked myself this question, especially when I take a walk in a neighborhood. This is why Inside Out, a short but entertaining book by Michael Tuberdyke, immediately intrigued me; it is the opportunity I have been waiting for to discover the lives of some people. The tenants we meet in Tuberdyke's story live in Marge's building and occupy three of its four apartments. Their names are Todd Brown, Nick, Clair, and Mr. Andrews. It is up to the curious reader to peek into their apartments to find out all about them. Are you ready?
Stories are always waiting for a good writer, and the characters of Inside Out have found in Michael Tuberdyke just the right person to represent them. The events told in this book can happen anywhere and to anyone. Nothing extraordinary happens, so it is easy for the reader to understand the characters' thoughts and actions. These stories may remind you of something that has happened to you or to someone you know. Furthermore, Tuberdyke presents characters of different ages and interests. I believe that this is the strength of the book because, even in the limited space of a few apartments, Tuberdyke has the possibility of representing a good variety of themes and situations. I recommend Inside Out to readers who are looking for a pleasant read without sensationalism. This is the kind of book that helps us understand our daily reality.
