A. Katie Rose is a workaholic living in San Antonio, Texas. With her day job as a photographer, she writes in what little remains of her spare time. She enjoys long walks, reading (when possible), watching movies, red wine, and drinking beer around a fire with friends. Among her extracurricular activities, she rides her horses and rescues cats.
A Colorado native, she earned her B.A. in literature and history at Western State College, in Gunnison, Colorado. While in school, she won second place in a history term paper contest, an essay on King Richard III. In 1990, she rode her Arabian gelding, Tara Starbask, to win the Colorado Arabian Horse Club high point in Trail.
Her first novel, “In a Wolf’s Eyes”, was published in April of 2012. Her second book, “Catch a Wolf”, was released in July, 2013. The third of the series, “Prince Wolf”, was released in May of 2014. “The Unforgiven” was published in march of 2015. Book Four, “Under the Wolf’s Shadow” was published in June of 2016. She is busy working on the fifth of the “Saga of the Black Wolf” series, “The Kinslayer”.

In a Wolf's Eyes: Saga of the Black Wolf by A. Katie Rose is an epic fantasy with great strengths in plot and character. A slave gladiator with great skills accidentally kills the king and must now protect his life and that of his wizard friend. A warrior princess is set to marry a prince who has the vile intention of murdering her after the wedding. A wicked prince will stop at nothing to get married to a woman of great strength and beauty, but for what end? Set in a magical land that is brimming with life and intrigue, this story features memorable characters like Raine the Wolf, Rygel the wizard, the warrior princess and heir to Kel’Halla, Ly’Tana, and a host of others. A wonderful first entry in a series.
The reader is pulled into a world of intrigue, stabbings-in-the-back, intense action, and racing emotions. This story has great strengths at different levels of the story. First, the plot is well-imagined and executed with skill and mastery, with stunning intricacies. Second, In a Wolf's Eyes: Saga of the Black Wolf features great storytelling skills and the reader can’t resist the gorgeous writing that is filled with compelling narratives and powerful descriptions. The dialogues are fascinating and plot-driven. Third, A. Katie Rose’s characters are well-sculpted and their roles fit perfectly into the overall plot; they are real and readers can easily relate to them. This is a perfect read for fans of epic fantasies, a well-written and engaging story with writing that is balanced and deft. It’s a work of great entertainment for readers.
