Chester is a successful investigative journalist and he enjoys the attention that comes with his fruitful career. Having been given an investigative mission by his boss, soon he is forced to go into hiding to save his own life and the lives of others, including Kate, the woman he loves, who he must leave, not knowing whether he will see her again. It is then that Chester starts experiencing strange occurrences in his life, which he must endure to find and understand the meaning of his own existence on this planet. Guided by monstrous souls on this journey, he realizes that what he is being shown is in fact Hell, a place every mortal fears; a place full of horrors and suffering that make Chester question his own life and actions toward others, as well as his own faith. Joined by two strangers, Finn and Natty, who sought shelter on his property, Chester soon realizes that friendship, family, and love toward a fellow man/woman are what he's been missing in his life all along.
Immortality: This is Probably a Novel by Anna Faversham simply draws one inside a mysterious and unknown world that she successfully creates with every chapter. Faversham's writing style flows with every sentence, slowly luring the reader into what at first seems to be an exciting tale of mystery with thriller elements, but soon unravels the supernatural tendencies forming around the main character Chester. Anna Faversham skillfully builds up this exciting story right until the very end, making the characters feel as real as possible for the reader, which brings an air of freshness and novelty to the story itself. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Immortality: This is Probably a Novel for all the extraordinary twists and turns that it provides, and the musings about faith and human nature.
