I am a teacher of English as a Second Language. I teach in China now, but I have taught in Korea, Japan, and Thailand. I am very familiar with the struggle to teach idioms to English learners and I use a lot of books to help me. Idiom Attack 2: Doing Business is one of the most well written and carefully laid out of these books I have ever seen. Peter N. Liptak, Matthew Douma, and Jay Douma obviously know a lot about learning and teaching a second language. This is the Spanish Edition of Idiom Attack and since my Spanish is only at an intermediate level, I cannot vouch for the translations, but after seeing the care, organization and professionalism that has so obviously gone into this book, I have complete certainty that the Spanish translations are of the highest quality. Real professionalism stands out in a work like this and these guys are obviously knowledgeable, seasoned professionals.
Idiom Attack! is colorful, easy to read and understand, and thorough in its three step process of mastering English. There are over three hundred business related idioms covering at least twenty-five topics. Luckily for me, there are even useful comparisons written in Chinese and I have already suggested Idiom Attack to several Chinese businessmen I currently teach privately. Learning idioms can be the most difficult and frustrating part of mastering English. Idiom Attack does a great job of making the process easier and more fun. I eagerly await the Korean and Chinese editions.
