I Love America Because is a children's book written by Terrilyn M Trejo and illustrated by Julia Olschanski. There are so many beautiful places to visit, so many types of cuisine, and many sports, activities, and educational resources in the USA. These are just a few of the reasons the children featured in this book are proud to live in America. Whether they live in the northern part of the country, the south, the east, or the west, they know all their dreams can be accomplished and have the freedom to choose what’s best for their individual lives. Would you dream of a vacation at Yellowstone National Park, visiting museums, hiking in the mountains, or studying to become a doctor, lawyer, teacher, or even something bigger?
I thoroughly enjoyed I Love America, and I'm sure it will touch many children's hearts. Each character has a unique reason for loving the freedom to make daily choices that affect their lives in the moment or even in the long run. Readers will love how patriotism and life in America are diverse. The illustrations by Julia Olschanski add some extra perspective to the storyline. I recommend this book by Terrilyn M Trejo to any child who is old enough to understand and enjoys learning about how different cultures come together in harmony in America. I love the way the author describes the different locations, jobs, and lifestyles in this story, and I look forward to seeing more books like this in the future.
