I Had No Idea! by Mike Fleischer is a fun and informative read with a combination of stories, historical trivia and anecdotes. From Stalin pondering after the bombs fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to Napoleon conquering the Netherlands to a cute trivia fact on the Eiffel Tower to anecdotes regarding Lincoln, this book will grab the attention of readers with its wit and the way the words are used, which makes the topics even more interesting, catchy, and entertaining.
I found the style of writing very engaging and the author is able to hold a reader’s attention till the very end by the way he handles all the topics. The book has answers to queries that come up in the minds of readers, and the diversity in the subjects connects the book with all types of readers. The wit and humor while narrating the anecdotes and historical trivia make it a light and fun read and showcase the author’s expertise in handling the topics. It has songs, stories, anecdotes, history and much more; all put together in a very original and amusing way.
What I liked about the book is that it's original, it’s different, and the author manages to handle many different subjects without losing connectivity and without boring readers. The topics move from one to the next one effortlessly and fluidly. I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. The author really grabs the attention of his readers with his wit and writing style.
