I Did My Best (Jennifer Ella Rose Series Book 1) by Cheryl Babirad is a fun and educational picture book for young children. One day, a girl named Jennifer Ella Rose is walking with her mother to start her first day at her new school. Jennifer's friends aren't the same age as her and are not going with her, but Jennifer is hopeful that she will make new friends, and maybe even a best friend! When Jennifer arrives, she sees a girl in front of her and tries to introduce herself, but unfortunately, the girl makes a face at Jennifer and isn't interested in being her friend. Jennifer remains positive and says, "I did the best I could," and moves on with her day. Nothing can spoil Jennifer's first day at her brand new school, because as long as she does the best she can, it doesn't matter what happens. Will Jennifer make any new friends on her first day? And what fun activities will she get up to? Find out in I Did My Best.
I Did My Best was a pleasure to read. The author Cheryl Babirad has created a page-turning story that will teach children an important lesson. It teaches that as long as you try your best, then that's all that matters. I loved the characters' interactions, especially when Jennifer and Jackie show their jelly faces to each other; children will laugh their socks off! A lot of thought and effort has gone into the making of I Did My Best and it showcases how good a writer Cheryl Babirad is. I want to wish Cheryl all the best in her future projects and I hope I have to pleasure to read more of her fun and educational stories. Congrats on the wonderful book!
