I Am: A Divine Purpose Manifesto Inspired by the I Am Statements of Jesus by Lenita Reeves is a uniquely written book about overcoming our own thoughts. As the author declares in the creation of this book, 'For every purpose underdog destined to overachieve.' The book backs up the statement and more. Readers will be taken on a biblical journey of declarations that will equip them with a sense of purpose and realization that their circumstances don't predict their future.
I found this book to be educational and uplifting. To read the comparisons the author uses in becoming redeemed to Jesus is more than inspiring. It brings everything into an up close and personal view, which allows readers to experience the book and not just read it. Whenever the name of Jesus is mentioned or declared, the writing itself takes on a new approach. The words come alive and are not just letters on a page. Each declaration the author uses is empowering and may read as affirmations for some. I've read and studied the Bible and it touches my heart deeply to read anything that speaks about profound biblical scriptures in an uplifting, non-condescending way.
This book will take you on a journey of understanding that being a purposeful underdog is, in fact, a great thing. If you're considered low already, based on your perception, the only place to go is higher. Like a ladder, this book will take you up, step by step, until you stand at the pinnacle of enlightenment.
