Hunted is the second book in the Maegics Heir series by G. L. Cramb. The trials and tribulations of Arias Côeurdrægon continue as he struggles to stay one step ahead of his enemies. After struggling for so long, Arias has finally found Druid Eschereon. With the Druid’s help, Arias hopes to master his mægics and figure out his true bloodline. He knows the process will not be easy, but he never expected it to be this difficult. Once upon a time, finding answers regarding his mother was his biggest worry, but now every day is a quest for survival. Now that he has come under the radar of some very dangerous mind mages, Arias has to master his mægics, control, and use it to keep himself and his friends safe. But how can a newbie like him go against mind mages who have mastered their talents over decades?

G. L. Cramb opens the novel with a bang and keeps the same fast pace until the end. Arias is a strong, humble, and sometimes naïve character, but he learns from his mistakes and works hard to prove his worth. The mystery behind Arias’s bloodline, his thirst to find out what it was, and the suspense around the mind mages are very well-handled. While epic fantasies are not usually my cup of tea, Hunted had me hooked from the moment I picked up this novel. The author adds tension at the right moment, slows the story down when it is needed, and gives Arias ample page space to grow and prove his worth. I love the dialogues, but the descriptions sold me on this story. They are crisp and vivid, making me feel like I was in the moment with Arias rather than in my room. Perfectly composed to have maximum impact on the reader!

Hunted by GL Cramb is the second book in the Maegics Heir series. Arias has made a discovery about himself and a quest that changes everything. He embarks on a journey as part of his father's final wish before his death. Now he's achieved his father's wish and has found the druid Eschereon who has agreed to train him. His recent missions with his allies have made him the target of a dangerous enemy as his presence threatens the plan of the mind mages who will do anything to take the knowledge he possesses, even at the cost of his life. This epic fantasy soars with adventure, action, and suspense in a hero's quest filled with magic, discovery, and dragons.

The story delves into a fascinating world with an array of details that bring the setting to life. The action and adventure are drawn from character-driven plots woven together around the quest and Arias's plight. The plot weaves between various characters and is told from a first-person perspective with GL Cramb capturing each voice uniquely and setting them apart as individuals. The various characters are what drive the adventure with their voices lending flawlessness to the world that creates the ideal epic fantasy environment. The story revolves around Arias as he discovers more about his own abilities and the events that put him on the radar of a dangerous enemy. He goes through a poignant ordeal as he's transported within a coffin in scenes that are well written to capture the extent of his mental state as his entrapment is vivid in what he's feeling and experiencing. GL Cramb has a strong writing style that manages to capture the emotions and thoughts of the characters. Arias is at the center of the story with the other characters woven throughout his journey. The action is brought to life through the magic of the world which delivers all the components needed for an epic fantasy adventure. Hunted is a brilliant second installment that's perfect for those that enjoy epic fantasy, tales of magic, and quests.

G. L. Cramb’s Hunted is the second book in the Maegics Heir series. Arias Côeurdrægon has discovered that his blood lineage is not what he had thought these past seventeen years. His thoughts and feelings have not changed but his family has grown bigger in ways he could never have imagined. However, it seems his troubles are far from over and his numerous adventures have caused quite a stir. Having caught his enemies’ attention, Arias struggles with keeping himself and his friends free and safe, all the while learning new talents. As dark forces from a distant land rise, will Arias be able to escape their grasp?

Hunted is an epic fantasy written in a first-person narrative from differing characters’ points of view. G. L. Cramb has created an unforgettable adventure novel focused on the journey of Arias Côeurdrægon and the danger that constantly surrounds him and threatens those he holds dear. With its distinctive cast of characters and wonderfully in-depth details, Hunted conveys an exciting and fascinating story of adventure and friendship. The unique set of characters that accompany Arias on his impressive escapades brings zeal into the storyline. I loved reading about how they worked and supported each other through the trying times. Arias meets other important people during his adventures and grows with them as they experience difficult trials along the way. I truly felt like I was with them during their exploits and I had quite an amazing time visualizing their adventures in my head. Hunted is truly an impressive read with an original, unique plotline, immersive characters, and spectacular settings. Overall, an outstanding epic, fantasy book! Great job!

Hunted is a work of fiction in the epic fantasy, action, and adventure sub-genres, and was penned by author G. L. Cramb. The work is intended for the young adult and upwards reading audience, and forms the second novel in the Maegics Heir book series. Our protagonist is Arias Côeurdrægon, a young man still searching for answers about his family, who now finds himself in hotter water than ever as dark forces intend to utilize his skills to uncover stolen maegics. What results is a highly engrossing self-discovery tale that is sure to keep readers turning the pages from cover to cover.

Author G. L. Cramb has crafted a cinematically penned work of fiction with plenty of twists, turns, and genuine heart to offer its readers. One of the features which I found particularly impressive about this piece was its security in its own magic and lore. Cramb makes readers feel like they’re in safe hands and creates a coherent plot structure that holds its mystery well but always makes sense in the long run. The characters were also superbly well developed, including the villainous powers and their motivations, which I found enriched the realism of the piece overall. The dialogue was also highly effective in creating the fantasy atmosphere of Aeryth, serving to display the unique traits of the characters whilst moving the plot forward in a natural way. Overall, I would highly recommend Hunted to fans of enigmatic character and world-building, adventurous tales of magic and mayhem, and for YA fantasy readers everywhere.
