Letter writing is a lost art. It used to be that everyone knew how to craft a well done letter and they did it often. Letter writing was not considered odd or unique; it was simply an everyday thing. If you have ever had the joy of reading a letter from the regency era or even more recent times like the 50's, you will see that people really did seem to have a certain deepness and heartfelt way of expressing themselves in letters. When you enter the age of email and online posting and text messages that just seems to have disappeared. I know I remember learning how to write letters in school, but my kids are no longer learning that skill.

As someone who writes a lot of letters to pen pals I really enjoyed this book and the tips it offered. Lynette M. Smith offers some very good tips for crafting all kinds of letters. Even an experienced letter writer like myself is going to come away with some useful tips that they can apply to personal and professional letters. If you are someone who is just starting out working on letter writing this is going to be the perfect guide. I really hope more people will pick up and read "How to Write Heartfelt Letters to Treasure" and when they do that they will be inspired to write something. Hand-written letters really have so much more to offer and to keep than an email.
