This year Hannah Truitt plans to use her weekend of fun and relaxation with her sisters to get over a bad breakup. She would shop on the Magnificent Mile, overload on Sephora products, and enjoy a bit of girl time without dwelling on the sad state of her love life. Then she meets Clark. Handsome, charming, and hotter than a five-alarm fire, Clark brings out a side to Hanna she didn’t think existed. One night with the man who was practically a stranger opened her eyes and changed how she saw herself. Annabelle Snow’s depiction of Hannah was truly a delight to read, and watching her transformation to a woman who embraces her sensuality was a pleasure. Hotel Hookup: Chicago is a fun and sensual story about owning who are you. Good and bad.
When I first started to read Hotel Hookup: Chicago I wasn’t sure if I would like Hannah, but as I learned more about her previous relationship she grew on me and I rooted her on fully. When she met Clark you could feel the sparks between them and, though her confidence had been shaken, it was clear to see early on that Annabelle Snow had created a layered character who had a lot of passion to share with the right man. And the steam between the two of them was enough to make a girl blush, at least if she hadn’t been so eager to see what happened next! Between the way Snow so accurately painted a picture of my hometown, and the heat between Hannah and Clark, I found this book very hard to put down and it made me long to find out what happened to these two after that night.
