Brian, originally born in Jacksonville, Florida, has been a long time native of Philadelphia until his move to New Jersey some 20 years ago, where he met his wife of 17 years and where they raise their 3 children. At the age of 48, he has travelled to numerous countries as well as nearly every state in the country. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Delaware Valley University (formerly Delaware Valley College). He has been working in the IT field for more than 20 years but his passion for Science Fiction has been for as long as he can remember. His first book has been dedicated to one of his best friends of more than 15 years who was lost in 2007. Together, they both traveled to numerous sci-fi conventions along with their other 2 friends and it was after his death, he finally decided to start writing down the series that he had been putting together for many years. This could not have been possible if not for the support of his loving family and his other 2 best friends. Having lost one amongst them, they encouraged him to pursue his dream and honor their fallen friend.

Homecoming is a work of science fiction written for adults, and penned by author Brian L. Harad. The first book in The Unari Experiment series, this novel contains graphic violence, strong language and sexual situations. The plot centres on Byron Hollington, a seemingly normal human man who is pretty content with his life on Earth. When Byron discovers that he is, in fact, the son of the Queen of an alien race, left disguised as a human on Earth for his protection, things take a sudden turn for the worse. Transported away from all he’s ever known and given his true form, but none of its powers, so begins Byron’s ordeal at the hands of his own race.
Author Brian L. Harad has put a fascinating twist on the typical alien abduction tale and made it conspiratorial, exciting and deeply dramatic for poor Byron on every single page. The writing style is that of hard science fiction, with plenty of fluid worldbuilding and detailed depictions of the new world that Byron – aka Thundercloud – must learn to deal with. The dialogue is sharp and well penned to convey the difference between the captive’s still-human way of thinking, and the ways of the Unarians and the other species, Thunerians. The plot unfolds in unexpected ways, but it builds to a really satisfying conclusion once all the pieces of the mystery element come together. Overall, Homecoming is a highly original and entertaining work of science fiction suitable for adult fans of the alien sci-fi sub-genre.
