In order to pull this off, he enlists the help of Raleigh Dribble, an ex con. Nigel offers Raleigh a half a million dollars, payable when he sells the paintings. This way Nigel can keep his hands clean and let Raleigh do the switching. Two teens enter the picture. Jonas and Megan are hooked on drugs. They have been casing mansions in Hollywood Hills trying to score big. While looking for valuable pieces of jewelry, they stumble upon the art switch. Now who is going to outsmart whom, and who is going to double deal with the other?
There is quite a cast of characters, and with an audio book, I kept losing track of a lot of the characters. This is the fourth book in this series, and the author always writes from the view of the police officer. I feel all who like Joseph Wambaugh’s books will enjoy his newest venture into Hollywood. I enjoyed this story. It has several humorous parts and a lot of action.
