In "He Touched Me" Theresa Goodine describes lovingly and sincerely how she is continually refreshed by the relationship she has developed with God. Throughout a life of difficult situations and physical pain, she has sought the strength and comfort that only God can provide. In describing the desperation she felt at times and the conviction that God is always there even when we think we can’t hold on, the power of faith is clearly revealed. We are guided to truly see what is around us and recognize our position in God’s grand design. Our ability to choose is reinforced, but along with it our need to be mindful of God’s guidance instead of our own will. It is simple to put ourselves in the author’s position as she shares the vastness of God’s love for all His children in the many events of our lives.
"He Touched Me" is a refreshing guide to reconnecting with the spiritual side of life. Mrs. Goodine shares her personal journey to re-establish and maintain a relationship with God and uses wonderful examples and stories to allow the reader to understand the powerful connection we all have with the Creator. This book is an invitation to make the same connections the author has and is in no way overbearing or forceful; nor does it represent any particular religion or creed. Anyone who is going through difficulties or struggling with the pressures of life has the opportunity of finding a way to cope that takes no real effort but can provide so much relief. The entire premise is a personal relationship with God that everyone can have but that so many simply ignore and Mrs. Goodine definitely relates how God can touch us all.
